We honestly couldn’t recommend Enlightened Windows more highly. We recently used them to replace all the windows at our property in the Cotswolds and, from start to finish, the service was absolutely exceptional.
We initially felt quite overwhelmed by the number of different options available and weren’t really sure what would work best for the house. The team came out, talked us through everything incredibly clearly and patiently, and helped us make the right decisions without ever making the process feel complicated.
We also explained that we wouldn’t be able to be at the property very much while the work was taking place, and they completely took care of everything for us. They went far beyond simply installing the windows – when they uncovered some existing issues with our roof (we already knew we had because of the leak in our top bedroom) and helped us understand what needed to be done and even assisted with organising builders and other tradespeople to get everything sorted. That level of customer service was invaluable and made what could have been quite a stressful project feel incredibly easy.
The finished windows look absolutely stunning. The installation was done beautifully and there has been remarkably little making good or tweaking needed around them afterwards.
Chris in particular was fantastic to deal with – incredibly helpful, responsive and reassuring throughout the whole process.
Genuinely five-star service from beginning to end. The team went above and beyond for us, the quality of the work is excellent, and we are absolutely delighted with the result. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We can’t recommend Enlightened Windows highly enough. Roald, Dominic and Chris were genuinely helpful throughout, taking the time to check every detail and working patiently with us through a very complicated job. We had competing priorities between trades on a busy building site, and the team managed it all with professionalism and care. They were diligent, attentive to detail, and went above and beyond when it came to customer service, including looking after us well into the after-sales period. A first-class team who clearly take pride in their work. Not to mention that there isn’t a single visitor of our flat who doesn’t compliment the windows! Highly recommended.

High quality product, excellent attention to detail and great service
I used Enlightened Windows to replace a set of French doors in a traditional Cotswold property. Throughout the process, Chris and the team provided clear advice, explained all the options and delivered a really high quality product. Roald in particular provided fantastic service and was very patient with me taking my time over decisions. The quote provided was clear and remained the same through to completion. The installation team did a very neat job and also ensured all snagging items were addressed to a high standard, leaving a lovely finish. Thank you to the whole team!

Exceptional service and windows
Chris and his team provided an exceptional service and support from initial visit to follow up. We had three quotations for the work and they were all for a similar amount for similar products, but the quality of Chris’s technical knowledge and advice was far greater than we got from the other companies and there was no high pressure sales, it was clear cut who we should use. Apart from alterations made by us Chris kept to the original quotation. Except from an existing extension we had the whole house reglazed with Alu clad triple glazing, and they dealt with the tricky problems of designing thicker triple glazing for a box shaped bay window. We were given detailed technical explanations of the fitting process as draught proofing was important to us. Chris’s team sorted out problems with existing windows in the extension which had come from the same manufacturer but had been poorly fitted by the builder, and also sorted out some problems with draughts that did not involve windows all as part of Chris’s service and all within original quote. Chris’s team of workers were highly skilled and new there work inside out and were a joy to have around. I would highly recommend Enlightened windows they have a real enthusiasm for there work.

Fantastic Service
The Team at Enlightened Windows have been fantastic in helping us chose, oder and install lovely windows and doors for the conversion of a wooden outbuilding into our new living room. We love the windows and greatly appreciate all the support Chris and the team have provided us on this exciting project. If we ever need new windows again we will be gladly order these from Enligtened Windows again.

We recently had all our windows replaced by Enlightened windows (I also used them for gorgeous bifold doors in my last property). and we are thrilled with the outcome. We have Unik Funkis composite windows and French doors, that are just stunning. From the very beginning, Roald and Chris couldn’t have been more helpful.. site visits, surveys and great guidance. Simon, Richard and Bruce did the fittings, and did a superb job. We are halfway through a complete house renovation, so here are some work in progress photos! Highly recommend this company.

Great windows
Friendly, helpful, easy to get hold of and to talk to. Very knowledgeable about the product and happy to share that knowledge in a way that makes sense to you. The advice they gave about what sort of window or door would work best and be within my budget was good and fair; there was no hard sell, and I’m really happy with the result. The paint colour (light grey) looks good with the red brick on the outside and is pale enough to suit the inside. I really like it. The overall feel that exists in my kitchen and bathroom now is one of calm and light. The windows I opted for are double-glazed and suit the level of noise and insulation that I thought was necessary, and would suit my house. The fitters were professional, tidy, considerate and very good at their jobs. Chris and Roald are fabulous, too. The whole process was as smooth as these things can be, and I’m delighted with the result.

We have recently had enlightened windows replace all the current windows on our house, and create the most spectacular system on our extension. We have a ‘floating corner’ element, and another large sliding system further along.
From start to finish Chris, Roald and the rest of the team have been nothing but exceptional. The attention to detail is second to none. Chris leaves nothing to chance and triple checks every element of every window to ensure you are happy with exactly what you’ve chosen.
He will also give advice without being pushy and had we not taken his advice, lots of the windows would not look as good as they do.
We are so thrilled and my favourite part has to be my arched window!
If something isn’t quite right, they will be onto it straight away and I genuinely feel so well taken care of. It’s daunting sometimes picking companies to do work for you but if you pick enlightened windows I assure you, you won’t regret it.

All the team at Enlightened Windows went above and beyond to install 5 windows and a door for me in my new cottage. Communication was first class, all my queries being answered immediately. The fitters were superb and tidy and the finishing off and making good excellent. I could not recommend them all more highly. It was refreshing to find such a first rate service, with the added bonus of actually being able to speak to someone at all times, a novelty these days! The fitters were absolutely fantastic—friendly, efficient, and clearly experts at what they do. They left everything spotless and made sure the job was done perfectly.
A special mention has to go to Chris, the owner. He’s amazing—genuinely cares about his customers and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. It’s rare to find someone so passionate and dedicated these days.

Chris, Roald, Richard, Simon & Catherine are absolutely fantastic (sorry if I’ve missed anyone).
The whole team at enlightened windows were very patient with us from the get go… we live in a conservation area for a start which meant delays in being able to proceed with their initial quote due to planning permission requirements but we made it.
We love our windows, the fitters were perfectionists and the whole process was easy, smooth and just a huge relief to find a trustworthy company. We’ll be back for a front door in the near future.

Our windows and doors were looking old and shabby, and needed replacing. We had always wanted continental windows, as we had both lived in Germany in the 70s and 80s, but when we last had to replace the windows in 2007 we couldn’t find a UK firm who imported continental windows, and we ended up with uPVC, which proved to be a mistake and were a disappointment.
This time I found Enlightened Windows. From start to finish nothing was too much for Chris and Roald; everything was explained beforehand and advice was always just an email or phone call away – and the phone and emails were always answered without delay. Any problems with the manufacturer (we chose Danish windows) were quickly resolved (we only had one small problem which was quickly sorted out by Chris) and installation was a dream. Richard, and the two James’s, always arrived on time, and cleaned and tidied up after each room was completed. I really couldn’t have asked for more.
If you want continental windows, then I have no hesitation in recommending Enlightened Windows.

I cannot recommend Enlighten windows highly enough. Every part of my dealing with them was outstanding. Their technical knowledge and advice was excellent, it is quite rare to find people who have a really, really good understanding of their product, and they do. I write this having just had an after sale question, which they have sorted out perfectly.
We purchased Unik Funkis windows and they are beautifully made. From my research last year these windows were comparable or slightly cheaper than others of similar type I looked at , and they have a U – value very much better than that specified by current UK building regulations. Enlighten deal with many manufacturers.
Communication throughout the process was great, and they were spot on with their lead time management.

Having had two sets of windows fail over a 30 year period because of our exposed location [first soft wood and then hard], we looked long and hard for what we hoped would be the best long term replacement. After much searching, we found Enlightened Windows, who supplied and fitted a complete set of Unik Funkis windows in the autumn and it is not possible for us to praise them highly enough. From the first phone call to Chris followed by a visit to their HQ where he and Roald spent time explaining in detail the intricate design and build of these windows; they were clearly an extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful team. We were then shown examples of work they had undertaken in the area and were given time to speak to these previous clients whom were glowing in their praise. During the process of procurement, we had two visits for measuring up to ensure everything was in order and Roald proved endlessly patient in checking and rechecking all our specific requirements; nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him to sort. It was soon clear that Chris had a very good working relationship with the factory in Denmark and once dates for fitting were agreed, everything was delivered on time without any hassle. The fitting team headed up by Richard were fantastic; their skill, care and meticulous attention to detail ensured it was a very straightforward process and, once fitted, it was almost impossible to tell that all the windows had been replaced, apart from the fact that we had beautiful new windows which drew very positive comments and enquires from neighbours and friends. Further, rooms which previously had obvious drafts are now draft free and warmer! Storm Darragh proved a good test for them and they passed with flying colours! The help, guidance and attention to detail that Chris, Roald and Richard delivered was exceptional and the result is wonderful. In this day and age when so often quality products and good customer service seems wanting, Chris and his team at Enlightened Windows have shown that some companies still pride themselves in delivering excellence; we cannot recommend them highly enough.
