STM Sapino and Sapino A

The all-timber STM Sapino and Sapino A (the triple-glazed counterpart) windows are made using only the highest quality timber. This is a classic and stylish window, suitable for renovations or new builds.

One of the main requirements is that it must be knot-free. This avoids any brown rings from knots that will eventually penetrate through the paint.

Like most traditional Scandinavian timber windows, the Sapino has a flush exterior, with only the lower drip projecting out from the frame.

To enhance the traditional Danish appearance further, casement fasteners can be chosen for a classic handle choice, interior timber can have traditional moulding and almost any decorative glazing bar arrangement can be configured.

Full Details

Heartwood is naturally waterproof. It has a high content of oils and resins, which contain fungicidal substances, and absorbs only 20% moisture. Timber heartwood is a perfect material for windows and doors, as wood starts to decay at 30% moisture. 90% of the Sapino timber is made from heartwood.

All timber components are given STM’s special surface treatment. As well as introducing a unique Danish treatment oil, the timber is sanded and coated with water-based paint. STM use 20%-30% more paint than the industry requirement. Combining this with a solid frame design gives the product a long life.

All of STM’s products have a positive environmental profile and they only use green energy.
